Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party results provider. Our servers do not retain a copy of that query. When you contact us, we receive the details in your message and use them only to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Our hosting keeps ordinary server logs: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We look at this in aggregate to keep the site healthy and to see which pages readers use. Cookies or similar technologies may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Technical data helps operate the service, diagnose faults, measure visits, and improve content. We neither sell lists of visitors nor create individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Service Providers and Disclosure
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
Safeguards and Retention
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Information About Minors
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Your place of residence may give you rights to inspect, correct, or erase personal data maintained by a website. Washington had no verified comprehensive consumer-privacy statute in the project research, so no broader state right is claimed here. The state's My Health My Data Act, chapter 19.373 RCW, separately protects consumer health data and restricts geofencing near health-care facilities. Because we retain little data, we generally need only check contact mail and server logs. Submit a request through the Contact page. Records held by Washington or Clark County are controlled by their custodians, and any correction or removal request must go to that office.
Changes to This Policy
Revisions will appear here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the new policy.
